Review: Maybelline Baby Lips
So this is going to be a little rave review of the Maybelline Baby Lips as I compeatly love this lip balm. Honestly this is not something I can even criticise at all.
If you want a lip balm that is really hydrating for very dry and cracked lips then this is the one for you. I have a lot of lip issues, mostly them cracking and being so dry I can’t wear lipstick, but this completely gets rid of this issue and creates very soft lips in no time at all.
One of the main problems I find with lip balms is that they can be very 
sticky and shiny and make it look like you have lip gloss on. This one crates a very subtile shine to the lips without being too over powering. Because of this I do like to wear this over the top of lipsticks or lip stains as it makes the colour more vibrant and glossy.
The lip gloss in the tube is quite hard but slides on really smoothly, this is good because it means that you don’t end up applying too much product.
The only complaint I have ever had about this is the yellow and orange packaging that is very garish however it makes it incredibly easy to find in the bottom of your hand bag.
So if you want a affordable, smooth and extremely hydrating lip balm then look no further than this.

How many lipsticks do you own?
Lipstick, if you mean the conventional lipstick bullet, then 13. However I have way too many lip products and that includes lip stains, pencils, glosses, balms that all comes to 52 in total!
What was the first lipstick you owned?
My very first conventional lipstick is the No.7 Pink Crush lipstick and I got it in a free gift set in Boots as special deal. I still have the lipstick not because I ever use it, because it is over 8 years old and you don’t want to know how gross that is, but I want to find that shade again but can’t find that exact berry pink ever.
What is your favourite lipstick brand?
This will have to be MAC. I love them as they have such a wide range of colours and formulations. They are expensive but you really are paying for quality.
What is your most worn lipstick?
Most worn is a MAC shade as well and that is ‘Plumful’. It is a great purple shade and not in a knock you off your chair purple but a toned down subtle purple that works really well of Autumn and Winter. I have hit the very bottom of the tube and I am really sad but if anyone wants to send me over one I would love you forever.
What is your favourite finish?
I prefer a satin finish as it is not too glossy and not too matte. I have slightly come around to some matte or near matte finishes but I like satin as it can be worn for day and night time.
What is the last lip product you bought?
This sounds so boring but the last lip product I bought was a refill of lip balm and that was the Nivea hydrocare clear balm.
How many lip products do you currently have in your handbag? (including balms and glosses)
Currently only two. I tend to just slip in my handbag whatever shade I am wearing that day as I don’t like to keep lipstick in my bag I prefer to have them in my draws. But I always keep a lip balm in my bag and that will either be Nivea Hydrocare, Maybelline baby lips or a tin of Vaseline.
How do you store your lipsticks?
I store them in two draws in my makeup box. I have a large one that has all the balms, glosses, pencils and other pieces then I have a long thin one that is just for lipstick bullets and they are organised from light pink and nude to red and purple shades. Using the draws means that I know exactly what I have at any given moment. Which lipstick do you use to rock a red lip?
I have two favorites for a red lip at the moment. First is an old classic and that is MAC ‘MAC Red’ this is a great product for going out. It is a darker red than most and does stay on really well. It is drying and you will need to really hydrate your lips before hand. Also it will need to be topped up during the day/night. My new favorite is Bourjois Velvet 02 Frambourjois; this is a deep red shade and is matte but also lasts all day long. No need to top up for a good five hours. This is great for both day and night wear.
What lip product are you currently lusting over?
Currently I really love the look of the Clinique Chubby Sick Baby Tint Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in particluar the shade ‘Coming up Rosy’. This is apparently really nice as both a balm and a lip tint and I always love the idea of a product doing two things.
